Speaking & Keynotes

Transforming the way you think about burnout.

No one needs another keynote telling us burnout is a problem. What we need are new ways of thinking about the way we work.

My keynotes challenge audiences to think beyond the way we believe we "have" to work. Through practical frameworks and real-life stories, I help people rethink the habits, expectations, and workplace norms that contribute to burnout so they can create healthier, more sustainable ways of working.

My presentations are high-energy, engaging, and filled with humor, practical takeaways, and real-life stories that make complex ideas feel accessible and actionable. Audiences leave feeling energized and optimistic, with practical tools they can apply immediately.

“Ellen delivered one of the most compelling keynote talks on burnout I’ve experienced. While many presentations on work/life balance offer familiar advice, she provided a practical framework I was able to apply immediately. I was personally nearing burnout at the time, and her insights gave me both clarity and the confidence to take control of it.”

This keynote is different.

Beyond self-care
Rather than offering another list of self-care tips, I challenge audiences to rethink the workplace norms and assumptions that contribute to burnout in the first place.

Grounded in evidence and experience
I combine neuroscience, leadership coaching, workplace research, and my own experience with burnout to make complex ideas practical and relatable.

Actionable from day one
People leave with practical frameworks, including the Honest Capacity Audit, and concrete next steps they can put into practice immediately.

“I almost skipped this session because I was so exhausted from staying up late to catch up on emails. I’m so grateful that I didn’t. I’m a very new VP and feel overwhelmed, unprepared, and fearful. I’m finding it impossible to keep up. This was a great session, full of things I needed to hear.”
